8–10 Mar 2023
Meteorological Institute, University of Cologne
Europe/Berlin timezone
Registration is closed. We are looking forward to seeing you in Cologne or online.

The goal of this three-day meeting is to discuss the status and plans of the TOAR-II Community Special Issue papers and develop ideas for the TOAR-II assessment report. While the workshop will provide opportunities to advance discussions within the TOAR-II working groups, we want to place the focus on identifying cross-cutting topics, possible synergies and potential conflicts.

The workshop is planned as an in-person meeting in Cologne and there will be limited possibilities for virtual participation. As this will be the only full TOAR-II workshop prior to the submission deadline of the Community Special Issue, we encourage all members of the TOAR-II community, who want to actively contribute, to attend this event.

There is no registration fee for this meeting, but we expect you to cover your own travel expenses (flight and accomodation). There are plenty of hotels in Cologne. Prices and availability may vary depending on trade fairs etc. We suggest to look at the hotel "Ibis Koeln Centrum" (https://all.accor.com/hotel/1449/index.de.shtml?dateIn=2023-03-05). Rooms are around 90 €/night. Mention that you are a guest of the University of Cologne if you are booking.

If you are interested to stay for a few extra days in the week March 13-15, we can offer a limited number of desks at JSC in Forschungszentrum Jülich and we will be happy to assist you in developing your workflows for TOAR-II data analysis. Please email info@toar-data.org if you are interested in this offer.

In case you are interested in machine learning for air quality: there will be another workshop at the same location on March 6-7. Please register at https://indico3-jsc.fz-juelich.de/event/68/ if you are interested to attend that workshop.
