Processing of sensitive data, either in the cloud or on HPC resources, is an area of active research and development. Google and the Jülich Supercomputing Centre are organising a workshop including talks and discussions to enable information exchange regarding current challenges and progress towards solutions. The topics span the spectrum from end-user experience to infrastructure and include: platform operations, sensitive data processing for brain sciences, hybrid cloud and HPC infrastructure deployment, and confidential compute solutions.
Google as a long-standing global player in research, as well as in cloud computing and HPC would be a perfect fit to strengthen the science at Jülich Supercomputing Centre. With our ability to scale whenever needed, our high-performance infrastructure is secure and reliable for cloud computing, data analytics & machine learning.Google provides technologies to anonymize data, keeping data encrypted while being processed and distribute workloads between on-premise and Cloud resources.
The Jülich Supercomputing Centre contributes with its HPC and Cloud infrastructure to the EBRAINS research infrastructure, which is developed by the EU-funded Human Brain Project (HBP), as a cutting-edge research infrastructure that will allow scientific and industrial researchers to advance our knowledge in the fields of neuroscience, computing, and brain-related medicine.
