Apply for a Travel Grant

To support the participation of young researchers at the Bernstein Conference, the Bernstein Network offers up to ten Travel Grants, each endowed with 500 €.

Who can apply?

Students, PhD candidates and postdocs, who

  • are a member of the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience* 
  • AND are the first author of an abstract submitted for the Main Conference 2025 and/or a speaker at a Satellite Workshop

Applications must include:

  • properly completed application form 
  • the abstract submitted for the Bernstein Conference 2025, including the list of authors and their affiliations, and/or information about the Satellite Workshop talk
  • a statement of motivation

In your statement of motivation, please elaborate on the importance of your participation in the Bernstein Conference and how it will benefit your scientific career. Additionally, describe the potential impact of your research on other attendees.

Only complete applications received by the Bernstein Coordination Site within the deadline will be considered.

Applications must be written in English.

Application deadline:  July 15, 2025 at 17:00 CEST

(*) Anyone active in the area of Computational Neuroscience or in related fields can become a member of the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience. Please note, you will receive your Bernstein Network membership number that is required for travel grant application via e-mail within 3 business days after the Bernstein Network has received your membership fees. Bernstein Network membership also implicates reduced registration fee for the Bernstein Conference as well as further advantages.
